ABOUT US

Lee Chisman-Russell, Solicitor
England & Wales

Chisman Russell is built around a simple idea: provide competition law expertise exactly when it is needed, and no more than that.

Lee advises law firms and businesses on competition law matters on a flexible, as-needed basis. Chisman Russell works as a specialist resource that can be brought in to support any matter with a competition law angle.

For law firms, this model allows access to dedicated competition law expertise without the need to maintain that capability in-house.

For businesses, the model offers direct access to practical, commercially focused competition law advice without the cost and formality of a large firm engagement.

Our
Story

Get to Know Us

Lee spent c. 10 years working with Stephen Tupper at TupperS Law, London’s pre-eminent (award-winning) specialist competition law practice, before Stephen retired TupperS Law in January 2026. During that time, Lee was involved in the development of the firm and had conduct of several of the firm's matters (with a particular focus on complex contentious work and its advisory practice). Chisman Russell is, therefore, in spirit, a continuation and extension of what Stephen sought to create: a specialist competition law offering built on providing high-quality advice for a reasonable rate.

Lee’s career in practice was preceded by a period in academia, during which he spent time researching competition law. He continues to lecture on competition law at both English and Scottish universities and is regularly retained to speak and write on matters of competition law.

Chisman Russell is a trading name of Chisman Russell Limited, a limited company registered in England and Wales with company registration number 13624586.
